A national conference early in the new year will look at ways to help deal with the emissions that drive climate change, as well as ways to adapt to the impacts of climate change we already know are coming.

Adaptation Canada 2020 will be held Feb. 19-21 in Vancouver, with a “confluence of energy and expertise brought by Canadians from different sectors, disciplines and regions of the country.”

“With a rise in global temperatures, we know Canada is already facing critical challenges and more are on the horizon,” organizers say, noting agriculture, biodiversity, transportation routes, infrastructure and human and environmental health among other aspects of life on Earth are at risk of disruption.
