To put Wednesday’s NASA/NOAA announcement on 2016 global temperatures in perspective, the Goddard Space Flight Center’s Scientific Visualization Studio has put up the available data in this color-coded map, displaying a progression of global surface temperature anomalies from average, from 1880 through to 2016. The final frame represents global temperature anomalies averaged from 2012 through 2016 in Celsius.
